Forward without ring

Hi there!
Scenario:
I have the 2 CEO Secretarys that now have voicemail. CallPilot voicemail is DN 7000
Both secretarys want to manually program the forward to ext 6700

Problem:
When the forward is on, the phone does not ring!!! The call is forwarded automatically.

Here's the configuration of one of the phones.
What do I need to change in order for the forward to WAIT 4 rings before transfering the call?

chg FDN to 6700, it will ring 4 then goto 6700 if not answered will revert to the mailbox of the originally dialed number. A hard cfw via the forward key will always goto the forward w/o ringing.

also you have no hunt for a busy condition, you can voice mail DN that or send to 6700.

I supposed that you always needed to FDN 7000 for someone to have voicemail

You said they manually forward the phone, if that's so then it is not suppose to ring. it should go right away to where ever they have it forwared too.

I called 6268 (DN of one of the secretaries), it ringed 4 times and then I heard a prolonged ring (meaning that the call was forwarded to DN 6700), but then it keeps ringing and the voicemail never appears

Any ideas?

I would set FDN and HUNT to 7000 if you want someone to have voicemail. You also need CLS = HTA and FNA

Onl the sets in question don't forget to add SFA to the CLS otherwise it will only forward 1 time and not get to voicemail.

I just added SFA (thanks for the tip!) but it does not work :(

1) I call 6268 (one of the secretaries)
2) It ringed 4 times, then I heard a long ring (forward)
3) It keeps ringing... the idea is that after the 4 ring it goes back to the 6268 voicemail

6700 you have nothing in the FDN field. Add 7000 to the FDN and HUNT prompts.

I have absolutely no idea (as you may guess) what " secondary forwarding" is...

I can't add FDN 7000 for 6700 because the recepcionist does not have VM

Then you are out of luck on this one. You can not pull the call back once it is forwarded.

You could fdn and hunt the first phone to new number. Build the new number to fdn and hunt to voicemail. than put an appearance of the new number on extension 6700's phone. Now when your calls hunt and fdn to the new number they will also ring on extension 6700. If the new number has Marp control than the calls will go to voicemail.

how do you want it to work.
1) call comes to 6268
2) rings 4 times goes to 6700
3) rings x times then goes to ???

I think they were ignorant of the fact it wouldn't ring ACE, they really want FNA to fly, then revert back to them is what I get out of it.
