Hello All,

I am very new to forms, so forgive my ignorance.
I have created a form with a subform in Access2000. The primary key in my form is called EmployeeTravelID. In my Subform I have a field called SubAuditNoteTravelID. I use the form to look up information that cannot be changed by the user. The subform is used for a user to enter information. I need to be able to duplicate the EmployeeTravelID from my form in the SubAuditNoteTravelID field in my subform.
I don't know if this is possible thru the form or if I need to make changes to the actual tables.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Thank you in advance.

You're Lost? Geeze I just answered this for someone else and I couldn't find the answer...

Sooo I'll re type... :)

All you need to do is set the "Default Value" of your subform's field "SubAuditNoteTravelID" like this:

=Forms![NameOfMainForm]![EmployeeTravelID]

Now anytime an entry is made into your subform, the entry by default will be your EmployeeTravelID !

Hope that this works for you! Gord

Thank you so much Gord.

Now it does exactly what I want it to do.

Thanks again,
