Hi all: I am working with two different desktop LCD monitors.
A Plextor PX2411W and a NEC LCD2470WNX. Both are using DVI and both PCs are XP Pro (one is SP2 and the other is SP3). Both use Nvida GPU (one is a built in chip the other is a Dual EVGA 9800GTX+ in SLI).
The problem is related to the PC going in to sleep mode. When in sleep mode the monitor will power down (this is good). However when the PC is brought out of sleep mode (keyboard, mouse,or power button) the monitor wakes up for about 15 sec and then powers down again. In order to recover from this the monitor must be manually power cycled.

This sounds like an issue with either incorrect or no chipset drivers installed.

Find out who makes the motherboard and download the latest chipset drivers for them.

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

Did that, updated the chip set drivers, GPU drivers, and checked both the NEC and Planar websites for information and software. Still stumpped.

How about the ACPI driver? Do you have any unidentified devices in Device Manager. In the past I had an issue if the ATK0110 ACPI Device driver wasn't installed (Asus motherboard).
