I downloaded Foxword months ago and liked it. I now get a message that the trial period is up and that I must buy the program to continue using it. A compuserve address appears on the screen as well as a N.Y. phone number (for Bel Consulting)-- Neither is any good! Does anyone know how I can get a functioning copy of this program (which I find invaluable)? Or contact Bel Consulting and buy Foxword???
Thanks,
Philip Hyman
pmhyman@bigfoot.com

I don't know but I can garner a guess that there's something better out there. Else she'd still be supported or picked up by someone else. At one time I downloaded FoxWord but never used it. What does it do or what do you need to do? Maybe I can point you elsewhere to a current product that _is_ supported
John Durbin

FoxWord converts foxpro reports into RTF files that can be called up (and printed) in Microsoft Word (or other word processors). This essentially means that the results of programs (or queries) can easily be formated and integrated into Word documents or sent to others in a format that can easily be modified before being printed. If you know of another program that converts reports into RTF files I would be happy to acquire it.
Thanks,
Philip Hyman

I've tried Crystal Report. This is no replacement for Foxword. It is a full reporting program --- all I want is a program that will allow me out-put my existing foxpro reports into RTF files. Foxpro allows you only to visualize or print reports. Foxword will send them to an RTF file ----is there any other program that will do this?
Philip Hyman

Hi pmhyman,
Check out <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> in the files section. I know there is a class for printing VFP reports to DOC,RTF,TXT formats, although it is very slow on large reports. There is another one there for specifically printing to RTF format, although the location escapes my mind.

HTH

Jon

I found the program for VFP report but nothing for Foxpro 2.6. I really don't want a new reporting program (Crystal Report etc) just something to convert/save existing report to RTF. Maybe Foxword was unique. In anycase, if anyone knows where I can get a copy I would be most grateful.
Thanks,
P. H.

All the Univseralthread files I see are for VFP. Thanks anyway.
P.H.

But did you look at them? Do they utilize classes or procedural code? The report writer is still not OOP so you may be able to use it or take what you need from it. I'll take a look myself sometime this week
John Durbin

ICQ VFP ActiveList #73897253

Please do have a look. I have, however, downloaded some of the most promising files but they seem to call on specific VFP functions that 2.6 doesn't have. I'm no expert, but it does appear that none of these offerings, alas, are for me. I would greatly appreciate your advice.
Philip Hyman
