Having issues configuring the rs485 serial port to talk to the wallboard after installing new serial card. Anyone know the required setup for the card, dip switches etc...

I meant not enough info in the ccc docs, your one has the requirements for the advantech card, I have a usb serial hub

I think the usb to serial hub is just an ordinary RS232 serial device. These are used to connect only one RS232 device to a PC or laptop.

The Wallboards use the RS485 protocoll. RS485 is also serial but different: more devices can be connected (daisy-chained) to the same bus but are addressed using a devicenumber.
So thats why the CCC/CCM Servers are equiped with an extra Advantech RS485 board on top of the two existing RS232 comports.

The usb hub has dip switches which allow you to select the mode of operation for each port,232/422/485... also have a single usb serial converter which is configured thru the software, just having a few issues getting the right settings on the switches
