Feature 981 not working

So, the phones here have been funky for about a week. When I finally thought the whole thing had been fixed, turns out no one's VM is working.
Everytime someone does a Feature 981, they get the "Log" option. The catch is, this only happens on about 1/2 of the phones.
Does anyone know how to change it so that it goes straight to their boxes?
(Or, more importantly, is there a way to tell if it's something else. Everything I know about this system I learned from Google, we have no manuals and the pdf ones I found aren't helping.)
 
That's something I haven't tried yet..... Would you happen to know how to do it?
 
what system you have? Have access to VM tty? it is an option on each box and probably why some don't get the login request.

I've been told this is a "Meridian 1"
I have all the access/passwords for everything.
 
If you are using feature codes it is probably a Norstar and you might get better answers in that forum.

you can still chang the voicemail profile to auto.

Still no idea how to do that.
Went through the admin menus; can't find it.
 
on the voice mail system, can you look at a mailbox?

Yep.
I get the following options:
Password
Ext (same as phone ext)
Service Class
Name
Directory
Msg Waiting
Outdial
Alt1 ext
Xfers


I've checked these settings against the ones that are working and they match up.
 
Not a damn clue.

I assume it's Meridian because those are the phone models we have.
 
look on the bottom of your phone and tell me the model number please.

yep. Best post that in the BCM forum. BUT on mail system there will be a place for auto login, might be a sub setting of another, but it is there.
