Faxing to/from IP Office

I am looking to impmlement an IP Office 412 solution, and I was just wondering of anyone had experienced problems with faxing to/from IP Office using the analog phone 8/16 modules.

This customer has an existing 3 Com NBX, and when that system was installed, they were experiencing "comm errors" on the fax machines. They had to remove the the fax lines from the PRI and bring in analog lines to facilitate faxing. With the installation of the new system, they are looking at pointing the numbers back to the PRI, ad run them through the Phone 8/16 module.

We fax thru analog modules at virtually all of our IP Office customer sites with no problem. Slips on PRI pipe can cause fax troubles.

mforrence is correct.

faxing should work but the biggest cause of faxes not working on IPO is the clock source.

On your PRI card you have a network clock setting. If you have two PRI you set one to network (to synch off the BT network) and the other to fallback.

If the circuit you are clocking from has clock problems it can cause issues such as you describe.
