FAX Issue- on S8300 connected to 2 G700 Analog card

Hi Friends,

I have a issue with my fax machine in one of the offices.

we have a multi function fax machine which is receiving fax but when trying to send fax out not working. these are the scenarios.

1. Fax from out side - received successfully - But it have some junk lines on the fax received
2. Fax send out to any Fax machine or the Fax insite the campus - Gets a Error "Comm Error" on the Fax Machine.
3. Fax Send to Mail server - Receiving junk characters on the Inbox.


I have 2 fax machines and both of them are connected to Analog Card on the G700 Server.

Are there any setting i need to check on this system or any changes that need to be made to get this issue resolved.

I need to fix this as user are having issues sending and receiving fax and this is very crucial for the business to get this fixed.

Any suggestions which can resolve this issue could be a great help.

Look at the network region for the g700, then find out what codec your using in the network region, Display the ip-codec-set and look on the second page, the mode setting for FAX should be T.38-standard.

Type list ip-network-region and page through that and let me know how many ip-netowrk-regions you have configured. The ones that are configured probably have a name identifying there location.

Let me try this again, Type display ip-network-reg 36, about the fifth line down, you will see the Codec Set #, whatever that number is, thats the one you want to do the change command and get to the 2nd page and change the mode of FAX to T.38-statndard.
