Hello
I had a concern for reboot caused by disconnection in the several IP yesterday on my H4K post network, and I no longer have the hand by the WBM to administer from the's H4k even ping 192.0.2.5 spends more, Start-HISTA regere defective DD error (F09: AREA/DEVICE <:A1H1E:> IS DEFECTIVE)! I have the restart the H4K from the SD card! How to retrieve the DD and have the hand on the system from WBM (- the "Expert Mode" works (192.0.2.3).

Best Regard

Your system is working.
However it is running from the Compact Flash card.
The Assistant @ 192.0.2.5 runs only from the Hard Disk
You can still work with the Comwin/Expert Access @ 192.0.2.3

Get the maintainer to create a new hard disk with latest software for your version.
Then get him to put the REGEN from your SD Card system on to that new Hard Disk and reload.

OK!
Can you help me to create new hard disk?
Where to download the latest version of the software compatible with H4K V4?
will I be able to format the hard disk see with the command: START-FORM:A1,":A1H11:"; ??

help me to download the corresponding software!

Thank you

This thread shows how to do this
thread965-1744332
The software would be downloadable from SEBA

Thanks sbcsu,
But I have a duplex system HiPath 4000 V4, is there any accurate for duplexes that you should give me? or is it the same procedure?
I also recall that the system is already in production and disk hard official already since 2008 where he was commissioning and is that on 6 November that I had problem caused following a reboot of the system H4K! Should what precautions I take when it is already in operation?

Kind regards

For the Duplex the DBC value would be different from the information on the thread.
I presume you have a REGEN so you can copy the DBC from that.
Only add in the ADS (Bottom Processor) first that is all you need to start with.
When you want to add in the SWU you have to add in the RTM and front bottom SWU processor.
Then carry on with the setup of the SWU.
The last (top) processor and RTM will go when you are up and running with the ADS and SWU.

download swu and ads or all file from site.
download a backup of unix for later restore via ftp if possible.
if not then get it on site.

prepare hdd:
hdd is normally a laptop drive
Fujitsu MHW2040AT (38155MB)
or Fujitsu MHW2060AT (57232 MB)

remove hdd
check latest verson of hard drive format tool (V2.1.8)
format fully using usb and hp format tool use FAT32
(stop the windows format)

turn off windows firewall.

check latest version of hard drive image tool (V1.30) /management/hipath4000/hd-Image Tool

check latest version of
V5 HDCF Boot Image since V5 R0.5.0

remove ALL USB Devices except the hdd you are working on
using the hard drive image tool
Use HD Image advanced to USB setting
Directory browse to flash
then select the hdd to write to and proceed

if you get 'problem with writing to device'
close hd image program
go to control panel/system/device manager
change the usb hard disk from quick removal to better performance
and try the hd image tool again or switch it back to the other
option and try again

put flash onto hdd - 8 files
The latest flash for V5 is V5 HDCF Boot Image since V5 R0.5.0

remove hdd from usb and put onto hdd tray
startup hdd on single processor with sim card, power supply,
nothing else

connect up hyperterminal to service 9 pin port
38400 8 n 1 n n
power up system
look for SCI: Simcard verified! HWID = xxxxxxxx
Then look up that HWID in CodewTool for to get CODEW
wait for dash dot on processor
