Hi all,

Is it possible for original CID to be passed when doing an external transfer using two analog lines? ie. call comes in on Line 1, the user presses 1 for Emergency, IPO routes line 1 over Line 2 using Trunk to Trunk transfer. The client wants to be able to see the original CID.

Thanks

Derek

Most providers can set the "main" number as the outbound caller ID on all the lines on the account. Some are even doing it without asking.

I've never heard of a way of setting the outbound callerID on any analogue trunk (except by the programming at the Exchange/CO), so this is not a system question really. But if you can enable 'centrex' transfer (lots of different names in different countries but the exchange operates like a PBX - you do recall, dial the other number, clear down, call is transfered) that usually will send the original callerID.
