EXTERNAL MoH ON IPO SE

Hi all.

I would like to connect external moh on IPO SE that has an Expansion Module. The external moh will plug onto the audio port of the Expansion. I find that I the music does not play on phones registered on the Se but plays on phones registered on the Expansion.
How can this be fixed?

Hi

I never tried but it seems you can use external source to get MoH of another IPO SE (may works with an expansion ...).

Alternate Source

The names of up to 3 alternate sources can be specified on the System | Telephony | Tones & Music tab. The available options depends on the system type.

IP 500 V2
• AUDIO Port
If the System Source is set to External, the audio input to the 3.5mm port marked AUDIO on the back of the control unit is used following a reboot.
• Analog Extension Port
The audio input from an analog extension port can also be used as any of the 3 alternate sources. The analog extension must be one that has had its Equipment Classification (Extension | Analog) set to MOH Source.

Server Edition Linux server
• Audio device
If the System Source is set to External, the audio input from an audio device (USB or internal) connected to the server is used. Multiple devices are supported.
• Directory
Setting WAVDIR as the Alternate Source allows you to specify a directory containing multiple WAV files.
• Primary Server
Setting the Primary Server Alternate Source to Line allows the Primary Server to stream audio to the Secondary Server and all Expansion Servers.

That quote says the Primary server can stream to the secondary and expansions NOT the other way around which is how the OP wants it
