Is their a straight forward way to accomplish a blind external call transfer on a CICS and Call Pilot 100 rel 3?

Heres what I'm trying to do for my client.

External User calls into AA >> They hear a greeting indicating, "if this is an emergency please stay on the line, all other calls please press 1. If user stays on line, call is transferred externally to a toll free #(24 hour answering service). If they press 1, call routes to CCR menu. Fine.

I am accomplished the blind external transfer part, by using the touchtone gate routing the call to an extension (or a phone currently not in use), which is FNA, and FNB (after 2 rings, lowest setting) to a route dest code, with the route set to call the toll free number.

This worked for a month until yesturday, (calls stopped blind transfering externally from the dummy phone). Unable to find what the hell got changed (no one else programs the CICS but me). I unplugged/replugged the "dummy phone" , then rebuilt most of the setup, and alas it started working again.

I'm basically looking for a way to not use that dummy phone to blind xfer that call externally. Also I noticed in the docs, external call forward is available with the networking package and bri lines, if we purchased this package, will ECF also be available for regular CO/POTS lines? (I'm Thinking this would bypass the 2 rings (FNA, FNB) on that dummy phone, before the transfer). For some reason call forward all calls does not work with route destination codes.

Mucho thanx in advance for any help in this area.

Just a little more info. Its CICS 7.1 Call Pilot rel. 3

I remember trying to use line redirect, however, is this only for a single line? I need all (4) incoming lines to blind transfer externally from the AA/CCR menu if the caller does not press anything.

Also, No set on the system has line appearences, I have a hunt group, HG1 setup for incoming lines, including the dummy set. Should this change for the dummy set?

PS. I CAN xfer externally from the CCR menu itself, but thats using a Path, which requires button presses, which is no good in this case.

Do you have line redirect enabled for the dummy phone? And instead of letting the CFNA do the forwarding just call fwd the phone-feature 4.

You are on the right path for the CCR out bound. You need to build a route that the number can use and enter the number as a standard dial.

In the VM web interface in the CCR that you are building the tree option is set to transfer.

In my case:
CCR 6:
Home Transfer Answering Service

Outdial is set to route and the number is dialed as 9407XXXXXX

Good Luck.
