Extension cannot be administered - Intra Switch CDR issue

Howdy,

Running CM 5.2

Trying to add an extension into my CDR but am getting the following error:
"Extension cannot be administered for Intra-switch CDR"

This particular extension is an announcement, but I have loads of extensions that are announcements already in the CDR.
Additionally,
I tried removing my personal station and then attempted to add the announcement. No luck.
Was able to add my personal station back in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

are you positive the other announcements are in there

Oh wow,
The announcement extensions are NOT in the CDR.
But I can still pull reports on them...
I guess I always assumed they were in the CDR because they would populate information from our 3rd party call allocator software.

Is that normal?
