explorer.exe reinitializes

Let's see if anyone has seen this:

Whenever I'm in Printers setup or checking anything in printer properties , my explorer.exe reinitializes itself and looses all the start up icons for e.g, all the start up icon would show up in the middle and then they would disappear, leaving my taskbar blank.

Most likely it has got something to do with spooler file but I recently upgraded to SP6 which did not help at all.

Any suggestions.

Install SP6a...fixes a lot of problems I had with SP6.

Thanks for the info. One thing I forgot to mention that we have Novell queues, although I had SP6a (confirmed it in regedit) I reinstalled it, deleted all the print queues installed in local PC, deleted the references in registry but still it does the same thing. Does it has anything to do with Novell client somewhere.
