Excel VLookup function

Hi,

Would someone understands why there is a +6 in this formula and what does it do. Thanks so much in advance for your help.
=VLOOKUP(A2,A6:p79,G2+6,TRUE)
 
the +6 adds 6 columns to the value in cell G2.

In other words, if you had 0 in G2, the VLOOKUP formula would retrieve the 6th column of the table if their is a match.

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...
 
It is looking in the column ctrollled by the value in G2. For example, if G2 is 4 then G2 + 6 is 10. So vlookup will look up (value corresponding to value in cell A2) the value in Column J. J being the 10th column in the table.
