Evtid 6617 CM Messanger

Hi,

We have just installed a CM S8300D with CMM release 6.3 and we keep getting the Maj alarm with evtid 6617. in the books it indicates there is a problem with Ldap and the stop and start may solve the problem.

I think it might be something with the configuration we have. We are using H.323 integration. Do anyone has experience same issue? is there a procedure apart from restarting the services to solve this problem?

We would love if someone can help us with this. thanks in advance ;)
 
Maybe "test ldap connection" in the CMM web administration, also, have you changed the default ldap password? You'd need to do that with messaging stopped, and I've heard that these voicemails work just fine without changing the LDAP password, but its one of the first steps and golden rules when setting up Avaya voicemail to do it.
To check if your LDAP password was ever changed, stop messaging, to to 'change ldap password' and check the box of something to the effect of 'this is the first time i'm doing this' and it grays out the 'current password' field and you can enter anything for the ldap password and just note it down it case - you never actually use it for anything afaik.

Maybe check with Avaya if you have maintenance. They seem to note a solution that they would have to apply. Or try reinstalling your template if you're not pressed to keep it in service.
 
I did the changes you mentioned and it all worked fine.

now there is another problem with utility server, but I read it is fixed with a patch. after I applied some SP patches and CM patches, it does not allow me to login using admin
