Hi,

I received from HP the information about the esc codes for controlling the printer.

Now I'm not sure about how to apply it. I 've got something like:

10 cpp = 027 038 107 048 083

I tried something like ??? chr(027)+chr(038)+chr(107)... but it doesn't work, it hungs the app.

any help? thanks!

Are you running this application under Windows? Does your default printer use Windows drivers? Try creating a logical printer that uses the Generic / Text Only printer driver, and then see if that allows these control characters to get to the HP 640 printer.

If you are running a report you designed with the report designer, try using the codes in a text box in the upper left corner of your report. If you are running a hand coded report from a .PRG, try using this as one of the first printed items. The ??? bypasses the printer driver so it could conflict with what the printer driver sends when you try to run the report normally. I dunno. Just a thought.
