Hi all,
Having some issues with embedded voicemail. Working on an ip office 500 v2 8.0. My problem is getting into the voicemail without additional steps.
The system is being used in a small hotel setting. They need the shortcode to go directly into voicemail. All the options I have tried ask for an extension and password, though. And I've never had this happen before. In fact I believe I had to ask you all how to make that not happen on a hospital system I was working on back in the before time.
So I've tried the voicemail collect with "?U",?"U", "?Extn101", "?101"... Every time it asks me for the extension number. I have the v101 as a source number.
Then I have the issue of a password. If I delete the password, each time it asks me for a new password. Need to have no password if that is possible. I don't remember having that problem either, although most of the phones I work with are digital instead of analog.
Lastly,if there is any way not to have to put in a name for the extension (ie, the basic name for the extension), that would be great too. Not sure if that can be bypassed and I have a plan B for that, so if no, then no. 1 and 2 are real issues at this location though.
Insights?
Thanks in advance. And happy Thanksgiving!!
