Hi

We have a hunt group which when you dial in for messages says there are 3 messages and immediately goes to press 1 ,2, 3 etc when you repss any buttins - 3 to delete it goes to the main menu and tells you there are no messages.

Is there any way to reset the embedded voicemail or delte message remotely?

I tried turning voicemail off and then back on but the mesage was still there.

The System is IP500 with 4.2 (last build)

Thanks

Kevin

My apologies I gave wrong numbers.

Basically it doesnt matter which number you press after telling you there are 3 messages it goes to the voicemail main menu and syas there are no messages to delete.

Originally it was one, then tow and last week we actually left a message ourselves and there are now three.

Kind regards

Kevin

Use a serial cable and connect it to the DTE port.
Then type:

AT
at-debug
ivm-mbox-show
Then pick your mailbox
ivm-mbox-show 200
Then
ivm-mbox-clear 200

But only do this when you know what you are doing !!!

ACS IP Office or is it ACSS :)

Try unplugging the IP Office, remove the embedded card. Replace the embedded card, then power up the IP Office again. Give it a minute to reboot and test.

Hi

Thanks, but is there any remote way to do this as I am not at the office very often but have remote access to the LAN.

Can I use Telnet or similar?

Thanks

Kevin

how about have a PC you can remote onto and leave a serial cable plugged in it and plugged up the ass of the IPO.

The CF manager wont be of any use.

you could upgrade to v5

also did you upgrade the prompts when you installed the card?

You could try to just reboot the IP Office via Manager and see if that fixes it.

Thanks to everyone.

I finally arrived in Birmingham today and the on yl problem was the prompts were wrong! Once you have pressed 3 any other key doens`t work as it is in the greeeting mode.

Anyway I updated the promtps and all is fine.

It appears that when it was installed they were nto updated and the users were given typed instructions of the correct keys, but as they only get messages every couple of months! when someone decided to listen to the messages they used the prompts not the written instructions and hence the problems.

I had tried pressing all sorts of buttons etc but as I use so many message systems had nto realised the prompts were wrong.

Thansk again

Kevin
