I have had 2 customers with ipo embedded vm where it locks up. 1 customer just has a general vmbox that answers all incoming calls after a few rings. May have 1 or 2 messages in it but cannot erase. Tech support suggested recreating the sd, didnt work so we replaced it, that didnt work so we will try the control unit that houses the sd card reader. The other customer has vm to email (forward) so no physical vms that need to be erased. System staus shows 299+ so i am assuming those are in file management? The vm doesnt answer but sometimes works after a reboot. Recreated the card, with erasing vm files, that didnt work so we were going to try replacing the card per tech support. Anyone have similar issues with a fix?

Had a similar problem where System Status showed the SD card 100% full even after erasing all of the files in the Dynamic - LVMAIL folder. Found a 0 byte file in the LVMAIL folder and after erasing that file the SD card dropped down to 34% full and Embedded VM is working again.

I should have said in the beginning it is at 11.1 build 237 and the ipo with the vm to email is at 10.1. Also the card has never been over 30% full

Make sure that the slide switch on the edge of the SD Card is NOT in the "Lock" position. If it is, it will prevent voicemails (and anything else) from being erased, thus filling up the useable space on the card.

Please remember... If it's not the way that YOU would do it, that does not necessarily mean it's wrong. EVERYONE knows SOMETHING that you do not.

If it is, it will prevent voicemails (and anything else) from being erased, thus filling up the useable space on the card." - Really! The IP Office has always ignored the position of the slider in the past.

"Also the card has never been over 30% full" - Doesn't matter, embedded voicemail doesn't get to use the whole card, its limited to 25 hours of storage (messages, announcements, names, mailbox greetings).

What does "locks up" mean? Doesn't take messages, doesn't allow collection of messages, no queue announcements, all the above and more.

And just because incoming calls are going to a general mailbox, that doesn't mean the individual user and hunt group mailboxes are not taking messages. Check the status of Voicemail | Mailboxes in System Status, watch the trace of a call going to voicemail in System Monitor.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Well i ended up going back to the customer that has 11.1 embedded vm with the genMB after 5 rings. They have 1 vm that says new but is just silence and you cant erase or archive it. I have replaced the sd card, replaced the control unit, reformatted the sd card to a differnt build within 11.1, reuploaded system files in embedded file management, deleted the phantom user that is the genMB and recreated it to a different phantom ext number. The genMb goes to the receptionist phone and she toggles between the general and personal mb. Also have tried inuity mode. Nothing is working. I have tried everything tech support has suggested. Please help!

1. Use a serial cable to talk to the craft port in back and set PuTTY (or whatever you're using) to 38400 bps.
2. Enter AT. The system should respond with OK
3. Enter AT-DEBUG and you will get a Hello> prompt
4. Type ivm-mbox-show to see all mailboxes. Here's an example from my test box:

[tt]Wed 11/5/2022 07:26:45, Hello> ivm-mbox-show

Mailbox: Extn12
Mailbox: Extn11
Mailbox: PEAA1
Mailbox: Extn10
Mailbox: Extn18
Mailbox: Extn15[/tt]

5. If I want the details of mailbox 10, I type "ivm-mbox-show Extn10" (Without quotes. Address the mailbox as listed from the show command). My demo:

[tt]Wed 11/5/2022 07:27:09, Hello>ivm-mbox-show Extn10

Mailbox: "Extn10" contents:

Saved greeting recorded at: 2017/02/17 11:35:35
New message recorded at: 2021/10/13 16:51:08 callingparty 605-------

New message recorded at: 2021/11/04 09:19:17 callingparty WITHHELD[/tt]

6. If I want to nuke everything in mailbox 10, I type "ivm-mbox-clear Extn10", which looks like:

[tt]Wed 11/5/2022 07:27:27, Hello>ivm-mbox-clear Extn10

Deleting all messages for Mailbox: "Extn10"

The MWL will probably still be on. Touch the voicemail button or reboot the box to clear it.

Ok but how will this help with future issues? This has happened multiple times. Once i replaced the sd card and formatted it, i thought it was fixed. Then a couple weeks later it happened. Replaced the control unit, thought it was fixed, then a couple weeks later, same thing.
