Hoping something is possible in IP Office/VMPro/or ACR to achieve this.

A phone in the elevator is programmed to hotdial the receptionist. When the receptionist answers she needs to hear a recording saying “this is from the South Wing Elevator” , then she is able to speak to the person in the elevator.

How can this be accomplished?

what about reading the display to see where the call is from? you could also install a doorphone that gives a pre-recorded announcement. Viking makes one.

I'd also check building codes to ensure that the elevator is allowed to be connected through your phone system.

not a good solution, should auto dial your local police dept. And as was stated earlier, why can't she just look at her display?

Thank you for the suggestions.

This for a healthcare facility, that has their own internal security team.
The way the operate today on Avaya Aura, is the way I have it described in my original post.
The customer is moving to Avaya IP Office, as it fits the size of their business better and makes more sense financially for this customer.

The ask is if they can do the same today in Ip Office that they did yesterday in Aura.
I think the best solution is to use Viking e-1600 solution.

I was hoping there might be a way to set a custom ring tone based on for each elevator. The ring tone being the actual " this is the south elevator" announcement...

Thank you Derfloh.

The way I understand it, if VMPro goes down, the call will still go through, but the announcement is the only thing lost.. correct? Not the end of world.

I think I would like to position both options to the customer.
Can you provide me with a VMPro example please.

I would like to set it up in lab for demo purposes.

What kind of phone will be receiving the call - you can do ring tone override on J169/179 phones. Have the elevator call a hunt group, set the override there, and put the receiver(s) in the group

TouchToneTommy.. this is what I was thinking, but can the ring tones be an auto recording of my choice.. ie, can I create an ring tone for each elevator " South Wing Elevator" " North Wing Elevator" etc.... or is it just setting different classic ringtones.
