Has anyone heard if there will be a release of Element Manager that is compatible with Windows Vista?

Thanks....

Just run the EM setup in "Windows XP compatibility mode" and it will install.

Thanks, Steeef. We've worked a lot with Vista compatibility issues and I've tried every angle on "compatibility mode" without success. I am able to get to the "Installing..." step but then it just sits there without proceeding. Did you try anything out of the ordinary with "compatibility mode" to get it to work? Thanks in advance...

Hello,

I too am running Vista. I've installed Element Manager in a Windows XP Virtual Machine using Microsoft Virtual PC (which is a free download). This may be useful for you if you are having trouble running other applications in Vista as well.

You could try to open the EM setup exe file with winzip/winrar and unpack it. then run the unpacked setup with xp compatibility mode.

Thanks, Steeef. That was a smart idea using WinRAR, and I'll use that idea in the future. Alas, even with the Program Compatibility Wizard, no luck. As Riteeh mentioned, I've been using Element Manager for some time in a WinXP VPC, and am just impatient to not have to use it on a daily basis. Thanks!

I recently applied 2 patches for BCM50R2 one for Voice Mail and the other for core telephony, now once i logged in Element manager telephony is unable to retrieve data (blank pane)the rest of menus work ok, any ideas?

New Issue, start a new Thread don't jump on someone elses thread.

I was able to install it under Vista, without turning on XP compatibility. However, I had a problem where I couldn't click on Buttons or select options during the install (the install just seemed to freeze). I changed my appearance back to Windows Classic temporarily while I installed the software and it went through without any problems.

Element Manager's now running on my machine without XP Compatibility.

Thanks, gm85! That idea never occurred to us. That will probably come in handy with other applications as well. My Element Manager as well as BCM Monitor are running great.

I second TheDirector. Stumbled upon this with another application, then tried it with the Element Manager and it worked fine. I just did the install with Compatabilty set to Windows 2000.

Currently have BCM 1000 with 2.5. I want to put some IP phones on it. I pluged my voip seats in and go to configuration manger to turn regerster on to regerster the phones. When I tab off That section automaticly turns regster off. any Ideas

We do now have a patch for Windows Vista support which is available for BCM 50 1.0 and 2.0 and BCM 400 4.0.Although it is dependent on another system patch.Element manager can be dowloaded from the BCM folder after install.Java 1.6 patch support is also now available for BCM 3.6 and BCM 3.7
