Element manager MBM Inventory wrong! 1

Good day all!
Have a brand new BCM 200 with 2 4x16 MBM's. When both MBM's are in Element Manager inventory shows only one; If only 1 4x16 is in, then the inventory shows nothing at all. I have tried swapping mbm's, switching which bay each is in, different DIP settings... nothing changes. Am I missing something really stupid or is this a dud BCM or MBM(s)?

What are your dip switch settings on each of the MBMs?

Ok, I'll go with the dip's being wrong. Here is what I have:
4x16 # 1:
DS30 bus 2, offset 3 (on,off,off,on,on,on)

4x16 # 2:
DS30 bus 4, offset 3 (on,off,off,on,off,on)

I have also tried bus 2 offset 0 (all on) and bus 4 offset 0 (#5 off, rest on) with the same results.

Any tips or tricks that I should be aware of?

A bad module will show unequipped.

Hey NARSBARS,
yep, I think that is the situation here. I'm beginning to think I need to get the Vendor involved...

Install one module at a time, same dip settings. If you can see one and cannot see the other, bad module. Make sure the failure is not dependent on which bay you are in as there were some connector failures the would only show on one bay.

that's interesting. I've been screwing around with this all last week, and when I tried a single 4x16 it didn't show at all, but I don't remember if I tried them both or not. Is the connector failure related to the BCM or the 4x16's? This is a new install...

The connector failure was in the backplane of the media bay.
I can't remember if you needed to change both the ribbon cable and the media bay.

If this is a brand new installation with recent stock you should not have the problem, but try testing both units and move the connector when in place.

Ok,
I have tested the hell out of this, and it is strange, indeed. I can get the BCM to 'see' each of the 4x16's, but only one at a time. I've tried each MBM in each bay, matched DIP's for comparison, Changed DS and offsets; The system will only recognize one at a time. The vendor spoke with one of their engineers, and he says he has seen this with BCM200 and combo units like the 4x16. Not sure why, but according to this guy the BCM 200 gets flaky with this setup...
Sooo... they are sending me a GATM8 and a DSM32 in exchange for the two 4x16's.
Let's see what happens!

Great timing, I had a 4x16 go invisible yesterday. I am waiting for the tech to report back. This was a system that had been in place for over two years. On this one I am betting bad module.
