Just brought a brand new Option 11C Mini on-line and was configuring TTY1 on a serial port server when I noticed the darndest thing - everything I typed while logged in on TTY 0 via direct serial connection echoed on TTY 1. Same thing happened when I hooked up TTY 2. I thought it might be the serial port server so I did a direct connect to TTY 1 on another notebook and the same thing happened. What's really strange is that not only what I type in gets echoed, but so do the responses from the PBX. INI'ing the PBX didn't resolve the issue.

Any ideas? I'm thinking it might be a bad spider cable, but I don't have any spares...

This is how the TTY ports work when MULTI_USER is OFF in the configuration (LD 22, prt, TYPE ovly) and the USER type (SCH MTC or BUG) is the same on both tty ports.
So if both ttys are programmed USER SCH then everything typed in LD 10, 11 20 etc will appear on both ports.
Personally I'd turn MULTI_USER on. You could also take SCH and/or MTC out of USER for each TTY.

i would leave sch and mtc on the user if i wanted to use either term for programing, sch codes can be a pain but i'l rather see them them hear pounding on the door.. i want to know if that last change took a loop out of service or changes my ac1 to 9*
