Hi Friends

I have a very severe issue of echo and noise when i activate call recording option using voicemail pro in IPOffice 500 version 4.2.11 system
the noise only comes on external calls on analog lines , in internal calls the voice is perfect.
i had grounded the device and also tried changing the gain settings in the analog line options as well as in the extension settings but nothing seems to be working.

is there ne other setting that can help.

thanks

Have a look at this;

CQ39843

Voice quality lower on speakerphone when voice recording enabled on 5400 and 2400 phones

4.2.11|SP_RELEASE_2Q09_4.2|1-Not Required

So if you're using 54xx the upgrade to 4.2.14

set the LAN port on the vmpro server or contact store to Half Duplex and not auto

TT, then also on the switch side he has to change it to 100mbFD. But never leave one side on Auto.

Bas1234 can you advice how to change it on the switch side

>can you advice how to change it on the switch side

Perhaps if you told us what sort of (data) switch it is, we might...

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

the IPO is 100 half duplex no options to change it there

All IP Office LAN ports are 10/100Mbps auto-sensing. Operation varies as follows:

"· IP Office 500
This unit has 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports, marked as LAN and WAN. These form a full-duplex managed layer-3 switch.
Within the IP Office configuration, the physical LAN port is LAN1, the physical WAN port is LAN2."

"· IP460 V2
This unit has 8 RJ45 Ethernet ports marked as LAN 1 to 8. These form a full-duplex unmanaged layer-2 LAN switch.
Ports are auto-MDI/MDIX. Within the IP Office configuration the physical LAN ports are LAN1."

"· IP412
This unit has 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports marked as LAN 1 to 2. These form a half-duplex managed layer-3 switch. Both
ports are fixed MDI crossover ports. Within the IP Office configuration, physical port 1 is LAN1, physical port 2 is LAN2."

"· Small Office Edition
This unit has 4 RJ45 Ethernet ports marked LAN 1 to 4. These form a full-duplex unmanaged layer-2 switch. An
addition RJ45 Ethernet socket marked as WAN exists. With the LAN ports this acts as a managed layer-3 switch. Within
the IP Office configuration, the physical LAN ports are LAN1, the physical WAN port is LAN2."

"The LAN port LED's are used as follows:
· Green: On = connected, Flashing = Activity.
· Yellow: On = 100Mbps, Off = 10Mbps."

I must have stopped reading after the 100 half duplex of the 412 :)
I could have sworn that the 406 is also half duplex

What about no dress :)
Just remember that the 412 is the only one that is half duplex
