New install on MXE III, installed and programmed E2T, everything good until upgraded from 4.2 to 5.0. E2T not responding. Tried upgrade bootroom all, didnt work, rebooted system, no luck. thinking about deleting any programming associated with the E2T and reprogramming the E2T, but i can't believe i need to do that. any suggestions would help.

I have had some recent strange occurrences after 5.0 upgrades.
One of them was with ACD dialling lists not working and not allowing me to change the data .

A backup and restore and reboot fixed it .

I suspect that there may be some database conversion corruption that had occurred .

Seems I recall some upgrade issues that were immediately solved just by performing a DBMS SAVE. Worth a try

Can you connect to the E2T via SSL?
Use putty to connect to the RTC IP address on port 2007
If you can etconnect then I would suggest blanking all the fields (use a full stop to clear field) then reprogram
The E2T normally does not ger upgaded it ia always a manual firmware upgrade.
Have you also tried a full power off? and checked that the card is seated correctly?

I think you You North Americans call it a 'Period'
But as you know we English invented the language so we use the correct term Full Stop (.) and not a woman's monthly cycle!

@Supernova

Haha, we call it a "Full Stop" here in Oz as well.
We also drive on the left side of the road.

what do you mean by "E2T not responding"?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks for all responses. I ended up calling Tech support and we put a static ip on the e2t thru putty. They said problems will be fixed on sp-1 for 5.0.

It is always advisable to put a static IP address on the E2T as with the RTC
Using DHCP has never been very successful as in your case.
