E129 SIP DeksPhone and MailBox feature

Hi All //

Just wondering if a such voicemail feature like a mobile phone exist on IPO 500 V2 /

I have an IPO V2 running with version 9.1.0.0 build 437, some deskphones e129 sip are configured and work perfect , recently some users are complaining that they cannot manage voicemail features on the deskphone correctly .

Like , once they noticed that the message waiting indicator, which notify a voicemail has been sent on the deskphone, they have to follow some steps to not only listen but also delete the message if needed, but a problem arrises with the keypad on the phone it's like not activated ,or maybe this feature is either enable on IPO or it's a limitation with the deskphone beint in used .

Like normal , they were expected after listen the message , an internal voicamai will give these options :

Press 1 to play the message again .

Press 2 to do skip the messge

Press 7 to delete, and then and so one...

Even if you attemp by doing , it's like no comand from the keypad has send to the system.


These are all basic , but when you don't know something you will be stuck...

Please let me if within the system, this can be realize , or if it's a limitation with the type of IP Phone being used .

I assume it is a phone limitation on R9.1
They don't work very well on R10.1 as well, we replaced them with 1608 phones because of problems like that.

I R11 they use other firmware and use the 46xxsettings file which may be a improvement (if possible)
These are entry level phones, buying the cheap may cost you dear as IPGuru use to announce and he is very right on that.
