Dump huntgroup messages into personal mailbox VM Pro/IP Office V2 7

I have a user requesting that we keep our huntgroup mailbox function so that we can still use its greeting ("Hello you have reached our general mailbox.....") but when a person leaves a voicemail they want that voicemail to be deposited into a users personal mailbox without accessing that persons personal greeting. Anyone know of a way to accomplish this?

In VM pro us the leave option.

The leave option only transfers the caller directly to the personal voicemail (I just tested this) and does not play the greeting of the Hunt Group mailbox. Thanks Okkie26

Why don't you just add a Source Number of HXXX (H hunt group extension number)to the User to give them access to both their own voicemail and the hunt group voicemail. When someone leaves a message in the hunt group mailbox it will light the message light on the User's phone and they can retrieve the message as they would if it was a message for them.

leave action on the hunt group, with a voice question: prompt same as HG voicemail greeting, 2 minute record length, send to personal extn.

Nortel - I could do that but they have older 6400 series phones and user is tired of having to log into multiple mailboxes (9500 would be great as well as if I could get them to upgrade from 6.0+!! Greybeard - great suggestion but user still wants their personal mailbox and unfortunately it still plays the personal mailbox greeting. The reason I ask this question is because we could do something similar to depositing the general mailbox voicemails to a personal extension with the Partner system

You could also turn on the "Broadcast" option in the Huntgroup under the voicemail tab, it will put the message in the personal mailbox for the users in that group.

the broadcast option is also a good one. However, if the original target HG VM is a main group with a number of users, and the desired target is a single user's personal VM, then I think the chain would have to go like this:

1. create hunt group called Main broadcast, add desired single user, set as broadcast, record greeting to be same as main group.
2. VM pro, set leave action on main group to point to mailbox for Main Broadcast.

Scudworth/Greybeard - excellent! Thank you so much that combination works perfectly. It's been a very long time since i visited the "Broadcast" option (not even sure if I have any configurations that are actually using it but remember testing this years ago). Thank you
