Hi Everyone,

I have a client with some basic (uugh) answering machines at two differnt locations, one with a MICS, one with a CICS. On the internal ATA of the CICS system, it will not send digits on the inside, from the phone to the answering machine, so nobody can check their messages. Same thing for the MICS and an ATA 2. Is there a send digits funtion that I don`t know about, I have been through the programming back and forth and I canèt find anything. They are both CICS 4.1 and MICS DR5. THANKS!

Have you tried using long tones (feature 808) from the sets?

Good Luck!!

Only way I've found is with an additional tone generator attached to the handset. We've used the same trick on a Mitel SX-200 console. Crude but functional. Alternative is another POTS phone on another ATA. Yuk.
