Hi

I've CS1000E on a CPPM Co-Resident Card Rls 6.0, I've got two MGC with a DB96 on slot 1 and a DB32 slot 2 (each MGC has DB96 and DB32). I've got a MGC on shelf 0 Loop 0 and the other MGC on shelf 0 Loop 1, I configure the MGC's on Element manager and CLI through port 0 in the cards, When I check the status of the cards in LD 32 They show the following status:

STAT - Get card status 0 0 0

Using CLI on MGC I tried the following commands:

ldb> mgcdbshow 0

the mgcinfoshow command shows the DB1 and DB2 are not getting TLAN IP Addresses and the mgcdbshow 0 command shows that the card hasn't been initialized. How can I force the card to initialize?

Any Ideas?

Thanks!!!

I experienced the same thing in Rls 5.5. Did you transferred the Node via Element Manager (I am getting an impression of using some wrong terminology). There is an option of importing Node or something like that.

Furthermore, have you made active Elink changes in LD 117?

Go For It Even If It's Impossible !

is the MGC registered to the UCM security domain? The DSPs won't go active until that occurs. You can try this command in LD 117 as a temporary workaround. In 117, type "dis transfers secure". That turns off the requirement for the MGC to be in the security domain before the config file will transfer. The mgc will restart and the DSPs should go idle. The issue is that config file won't transfer until the MGC is in the security domain. Thank you Nortel for complicating things even more.

Thanks biv343 and fallenangel1 for your answers, I created the UCM but I haven't register to UCM security domain because The customer has a CS1000 rls 4.5 with SSC and I've got a Lab with new card CPPM Co-Res rls 6.0 in my Office I'm testing all to see that is working then change the rls 4.5 for CPPM Co-Res (In the customer). I've have to try in the customer, Because set up the CS1000E to work with the customer domain. I'm going to try LD 117 "dis transfers secure

Thanks biv343 I disable transfers secure and now The DB`s cards registered, Do I have to enable secure and register in UCM secure domain or can I just leave the secure disabled?

you had something wrong... in the mgc db printout i cannot see the tlan ip address.. so when you register the mgc the configuration is not transferred properly.. did you do the transfer to the cpu after doing the proper configuration in the node? it seems that the answer is no..

The "transfers secure" is disabled now and The DB`s cards registered.
If I want to re-enable "transfers secure", How can I make the DB's cards 32 and 96 to register to the secure domain?, I already Configured the primary security server but I'm not using DNS. Can I use the Commands for adding or removing elements from the UCM security domain (Document Security Management Fundamentals NN43001-604) to force the DB's cards on the MGC to register (to UCM security domain)? Or can The DB's cards on MGC work with transfers secure disable without problem?

To get my MGC's to register to security domain I used the
reg ucm s
command in LD117 and used the IP address of the primary security server as no DNS also.

When I enter the command reg ucm s in LD 117 I receive the following:

=> reg ucm s

Thanks M1spezi, I enter "stat ucmsec system" in LD 117 and The MGC cards are not registered (Although The MGC´s display show the the cards as registered):

>ld 117

=> stat ucmsec system
MGC 192.168.10.231 UNREGISTERED
MGC 192.168.10.234 UNREGISTERED

What can I try to make them to register?

I dont know why The MGC's are reporting this message:

DSP are waiting for waiting for mgcdb.xml file

Can I disable secure transfers (disable sFTP in LD 117)?

I read that the secure transfers is for MGC Upgrade (Manual NN43001-604)

First!!!!!

Install the latest deplist to your callserver.

2.

After => reg ucm s you will have a " : " behind the Tlan Ip Adress of your Sec Domain. Type here the ELAN IP ADRESS of your UCM Secutity Server.

=> reg ucm s

IP address of the Primary Security Server: 192.168.1.34:

Meridian, Callpilot, CCM (Symposium) from Germany

Sorry should have specified it was the ELAN IP Address of the Primary Security Server

LD 117
reg ucm s
Then was asked to enter ELAN IP Address of Primary Security Server
Then my PWD2 Login.

Then, in my case, all 4 MGC&VTRKs then registered.

Could you please tell me the deplist names for the Callserver, I was searching in Nortel and there are several pep's for CS1000E rls 6.0.

Thanks!!!

Have you tried clearing the MGC cards and then re-entering the IP information.
Clear the IP, boot the card and then re-enter the IP info.

Yes, I already tried clearing the MGC cards

Reseat MGC card and watch it boot.
When "DSP are waiting for mgcdb.xml file" appears type <CTRL> OAM
AT > type mgcsetup and re-enter IP info.
When it asks to reboot say yes and it should sync up and register.

Finally I could make MGC's cards to join the UCM security Domain, I did the following:

*From port 0 on the MGC I entered the command: joinSecDomain, then I was asked to enter the ELAN CallServer Ip Address.
*Second in the UCM --> IPSec: I added manually the MGC then Syncronize and Activate (force).

Now I see that the MGC channels as IDLE.
