I guys,I have a problem I unable to solve. Is it possible to connect a wireless phone on a door opening analog controller? 6 activates for door opening. I use an analog phone Vtech. or what kind of Wireless is compatible with the controller door phone ??

Connect the cordless phone to an analog station port. Program the doorphone to ring the cordless extension. Answer the doorphone call from the cordless phone and press 6 to activate the door opening controller relay.

when I press 6 from the analog cordless the door not open

Ok then does 6 work on the other sets?
What is the process on the digital sets?

The doorphone can be programmed to have any digit as the door opening digit. 6 is just the default. Check the programming by pressing 9 * 4 from a digital set with a two line display.

You've got to be in contact with the doorphone in order to activate the relay too. Either ring the cordless phone from the doorphone or call the doorphone extension from the cordless before pressing 6.

Here's the manual:

Many tks for your quik answer. But the thing is, I'M tryng to do that DOC with analog phone using the ATA port from the système. When I try any didgets from 0-9 # * it still not working. There is à no compatibility by using analog phone from the ATA port? Or we have to use a spesific analog phone?

As curly asked before, are you able to open the door from a digital set?

Yes, you should be able to open the door from an analog set connected to an ATA. Any analog set is compatible.

Does the analog set ring when you press the doorphone button? Can you answer the doorphone call from the analog set?

yes for the first question.

For the second point, i'm using the analog port from the CICS. It is ok? Or should be using the ATA separetly?

the third point, yes the analog set ring when i press the doorphone BST button. And yes i can answer and talking throu the analog phone.

Try Link * 809 to turn on Tones in case they are off.

Link = Hook Flash

I don't think it will work. Digital phones don't send dtmf they are ISDNish terminals.

should i try with something else? like Algo? or any sugestion pls? many tks

The word "open" appears in a digital set's display when a doorphone call rings in. Pressing the "open" button is the way most people open a door. Can you press 6 from a digital set and open the door also?

I can press 6 from a digital set or an analog set and open the door here at our office but we've got a BCM50.

Have you tried a different single line phone? Maybe the cordless phone you're using is not outputting DTMF after answering a call. Connect your buttset to the cordless line, put your buttset in monitor and listen for DTMF from the cordless phone after answering the doorphone call.

And yes, the analog port from the CICS should work fine. It's an ATA too, it's just internal to the CICS.

I'm pretty positive that I have set one up using the cordless as the target set. By doing that, I could also have Ans DN's on the receptionist's phone so if she was away from her desk she could answer, then open the door.

Are you sure your cordless is set to "Tones" and not "Pulse" dialing? Try connecting with any analogue telephone in lieu of the cordless...

Yes my cordles is at tonnes dialing. And also, I try with a another analogue téléphone and nothing positive :/

I tested this in my lab yesterday with a cordless phone connected to a CICS 6.0 internal ATA and was able to activate a door opening controller relay by pressing 6 no problem. I can also activate the door opening controller relay by pressing 6 from a digital set on the CICS.

You did not answer this one:
Try Link * 809 to turn on Tones in case they are off.

This is to program the ATA and not the cordless.
