Hi
I have three clients running windows 2007 all in the same domain as the DNA server. Two of them are working fine the third throws an error:
"Failed to connect with logging facilities server. Verify it is running"
Whenever DMG is opened.
If I go to the server and open the DMG, I can put in her user details and it connects fine.
As is often the way, the guy who usually deals with this is on hols and I'm left with the task of fixing it.
Until eyesterday I knew nothing of DNA, thanks to this forum and google I now know a smidge more than nothing
I actually had the client working yesterday, but when the user logged off last night and back on this morning that error appeared.
What I did yesterday:
1. Map a drive to the server from the client
2. Install the client from DNA_S/MRS/InstallationFiles/ClientInstallation
3. Installed the servicePack from the same location
4. Everything worked
I've double checked that the drive mapping is still present to \SERVER\DNA_S and it is. I've even tried running the dmg.exe off the server and no joy.
I've set the user as Full control over the DNA_C folder
I just can't think what else is different, but I'm guessing I missed something on the install process.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Stewart
