Hi,

I'm obviously being very dense here but I can't seem to get the extension name to display on a 1616 phone. It has the extension number but not the name. What am I doing wrong?

Phone has latest firmware and IP Office version is 5(26)

And it would appear you can't! Shame as I was hoping to replace the 5610 I had before with one that had a backlit display.

Features -> Phone User -> Phone Screen Settings -> Display Name.

Thanks for the reply but don't appear to have that as an option.

To add, in the phone user menu it gives me an option to logon despite the fact I am already logged on to the phone. If I try and use my extension and password, it says Invalid. Really not sure what I have done wrong here!

Sorry just noticed you are on 5.26 - My way works on 8 and 9 definitely but its been a while since I worked on 5 as we upgrade our properly active customers regularly.

It's a system I use in my house. I did Avaya support from 2003 to 2008 but nothing since. I might have to bite the bullet and upgrade!

The handset should be running the correct version to match the system not the latest available, are they supported at R5..? Can't remember :)

Then load the version of firmware that came with Manager, failing that it's an upgrade :)

5.0 files on and has made no difference. Very odd.
