Hi,

I'm using HiPath 4000 Assistant V.4
When I add a line button on a phone for example, I have a line # 4444 Display name "JOHN SMITH" and I need to add a line to this phone let's say 5555 display name "YARA Joseph"
When John makes a call from 5555 it shows his name while I want it to show Yara's name
How to do that?

Thank you!

Hi.

In ZAND:KEYSYS check the following parameters :

DISLNBAS - Show number and name of used line instead of the device (yes or no).
When set to a NO, the name associated with the device (prime line) will be used regardless of which line on the set is used.
If set to a YES, the extension number of that line and the name defined in PERSI for that line will be used.

COSLNBAS - Use of COS active line instead of device (yes or no).
When set to a NO, the COS and LCOS associated with the device (prime line) will be in effect regardless of which line on the set is in use.
If set to a YES, the COS and LCOS of the individual lines will apply.

The parameter values for COSLNBAS and DISLNBAS should be the same.

Where can I find those?

Those are system parameters.
Cannot tell from where they can be setup under Assistant/Manager, but they can be easily checked/setup via mentioned AMOs under RMX/Comwin (Hipath expert access).
A system restart might be required after parameters values changing for taking effect.

You're in V4. I am not sure that V4 even knows about optipoint phones. I know I was using them under V5, but that's where I started so it's possible it does and I just don't know. Do you have "Device Combinations" for Optipoint phones you can assign or does it only have Optiset phones on the list?

Optipoint 500 is suppported since V3 for sure if not even V2.

Is there a way to to it for individual station and not in the AMO command? I'm not expert in AMO :(

As I wrote above "Those are system parameters" (cannot be setup for individual station, it will affect all keysys/multiline devices).
So I don,t think is possible also from Assistant /Manager but only from RMX/Comwin.

In the case that you have a phone line on a phone and the name (button text) says "Bill" on the display next to the button, and that same line appears on a different phone and you want that text next to the button to say "CEO", you can do that, IF you do not have the button programming protected, by holding down the button. As said above, you cannot change how the names are formatted when you call them or they call you on individual phones. It will use whatever you have entered for subscriber name.
