I am able to connect to a Mitel 3000 locally w/ a USB to DB-9 converter and the V24 cable. However shortly after connecting the connection is dropped and I have to log back in again.

Do you have the right driver installed for this specific USB-2-DB9 adapter?
Make sure you have the right settings:
Baud rate: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: none
stop bits: 1
had this before with the wrong driver/settings installed.

Another co-worker had mentioned the driver. I have installed the update. Will check the system ASAP.
