I have a CS1000 running 7.5. On 2 separate occasions now i have had an entire card of digital sets become unresponsive. i cannot IDU any of the sets, i can IDC the card. the resolve was to disable the card, unseat and reseat it, and then all is well...i have to think that something bigger is going on here. anyone else experience this?

If it was the same card both times I would suspect the card.

no, if it were only that easy! my hopes when it happened the first time, were that it was the card, but this was a different card in a different loop, 8.1.4 and 64.1.3
thanks

I know this sounds like an Avaya response, but do you have a card that it is not happening on, and maybe you can swap the card to see if the problem follows the card, or stays on the slot?

Just a thought - how's the grounding? Any new major pieces of equipment added to the building recently?

I've see electrical noise cause some weird things to happen - like cards disabling for no reason.

the old IPE columns have been in forever, i think 01. the ground has not been touched since install. the odd part is the card doesnt disable, and i get no alarm. the only way i know it happened is when i get a couple users call in with dead sets. hasnt happened since, but i have to wonder if and when its going to rear its head again...
we upgraded to CS1000 in 04, so all network connectivity to the old stack goes through the customers cisco switches. maybe something weird on the network side?
