Is it possible to translate *11 to 3368 on a Nortel Option 61C. Our CEO has requested that we use *11 as an emergency number.
Thanks.

Charles

If *1 isn't already used then maybe. My guess is *1 is used already though so that would be a conflict with *11. Typically the * is used for Flexible Feature Codes.

yes it is possible,

first check if *1 is used as a ffc

then create a pldn *11 assign it to the lsno which dials 3368

Another way might be to create an ACD queue to do the same thing as shown below using a number starting with a "*"

Thank you all for your replies.

Everything I'm trying I get a sch code that states there is a dn conflict.
The only * I have located is a FFC cprk *, which I thought was a wildcard and not the actual asterisk(*). Am I wrong in my assumption?

Thank you again for the assistance.

So that would be a conflict. * would conflict with * followed by anything. * is not a wild card.

Yes * is listed as a DN for cprk.
Since there is a conflict, I'll tell the boss we can't use *11.

thanks Guys!
