What is the Easiest and most effective way:

I am auditing our switch and would like to a) increase the DES field so that I
can see who that TN belongs to, right now only 4 char. long.

or' b) rename the DES w.o increasing the length. rename the DES to extension

The situation is I have to be on top of organizing what TN belongs to who and what type of set.

What's your advice. Much Thanks for making my life easier.

It's not getting any easier out there? Or is it :)

load 85 is quickest for changing des to a 4 digit number, just enter the tn then ds then another tn, works for digitals 84 does the same for analog, i use an excel with a macro that does sort for my sets, giving me a line for each phone, i also make sure each phone has a unique key 0 and that it has a unique name on it.. i use des for cable pair..
