Hello everybody,

Our company just switched from Aura (which I only just started to get the hang of!!!) to IP Office. No I have to configure the phones in the garage in a certain way.

The idea is that, during the office hours between 8AM and 5PM the phone goes straight to the reception number (2421) when you pick up the horn and outside the office hours, when you press 1 you go to emergency services, and 2 to the building manager. This last part I got to work.

I can't really seem to find any info on how to have the phone call straight to 2421 when you pick up the horn, how could I manage this?

Thanks in advance!

To hotline a phone you add the following short code into the users short code tab

SC : ?D
TN: Destination
Feature Dial/DialExtn

To have this routing to different destination at different times is a little more evolved

With VM Pro I would always send the call to the VM & have a condition on the call flow decide where to route.

With Embedded VM you would have to call a group & setup NS on the group to call the AA. How to best do this depends on the software version of your IPO

You can do this with user rights and a time profile dictating the shortcodes it uses :)

How can you attach shortcodes to a time profile?
As far as I can tell, shortcodes are bound to the user, not to the time profile?
Thanks for the help so far, have a lot to learn about this new system... :/

Never mind, found it! Thanks for the help guys, couldn't of done it without all your advice :)

Do the Bart man....
Create 2 user restriction tables name ExtxxxxDay and ExtxxxxNight,
Assign a shortcode ?D/2421/Dial Direct in the ExtnxxxxDay profile.
Assign a shortcode ?D/"Name of AA"/Autoattendant in the ExtxxxxxNaigt.
Create a time profile active from 00:00-07:59 and from 17:00 to 23:59 and name it ExtXXXXNightTime
In the user settings bind the user to the userprofile ExtxxxxDay and assign ExtxxxxNight to the time profile restriction table.

sorry
for some reason I thought that short-codes were no in user-rights (confused it with other items that should be there but arn't such as source numbers)

indeed user-rights is the correct way to do this

Don't worry about it, already figured out that bit and everything else. You guys got me on the right path to figure it out myself. If anything I learned more by looking around a bit myself.

That's why we/I often give brief answers, spoon feeding solutions to people doesn't really help them in the long term.
Glad it's working :)
