I have informed about a strange Dial Issue and as much as i search around i did not find a workaround.

IPO406(4.2)

They say there is a show up delay of the dialed digits
on the phone screen.
For example, they pres 21027xxxx and the number shows up after a few seconds (2-3) on the phone screen.
It is not affect any PBX services but as i have been told it didn't happen before.

Any ides?

Was there an upgrade to 4.2 lately ?
If yes was there an 3.2.999 upgrade first for the DS modules ?

i don't really remember but as far as i can say i think have never skip this step.

the local provider had schedule a maintenance job on the isdn lines and some lines were out of service temporally...but i don't think that there is a connection between them.

tlpeter,
i have this problem on my demo unit...trouble is it has gone upgrades and downgrades (i take care to always do a DTE level deubg or bootloader erase and not via admin manager) a number of times.

I have not been able to locate this 3.2.999 on avaya support. all i know is 3.2.18 for ipo v406v2. can you help pls with this download?

Also i haven't seen anywhere an explicit instruction about upgrade from pre-3.2 versions to 4.0...BUT i trust colleagues on forum more than the documents :)

3.2.999 is in the Manager folder of all 4.X releases already, to upgrade/downgrade to it simply change your working directory to the 3.2.999 folder which is in the Manager folder.

thanks :)
so silly of me...sometimes we dont look around ourselves..

will do ...
but one thing i forgot to mention - my 5410 phones are on the main unit and not on expansion module..
any case as i said i have a demo/lab unit and we play around..
i am going to bring down my 4.2.11 to 3.0 over the weekend using DTE and try..
meanwhile any better ideas? it saves me trouble..:)

Upgrade via Manager using the steps rather than via DTE and see if that changes anything as I have not seen the issue you are getting and doing the DTE to avoid issues could well be causing them.

had the same issue on a site where it was for sure done via the 3.2.999 version and it just needed to get re-done to take properly, out of whatever reason.
The phones on the main unit go nuts too even if the main unit didn't need the interim release, they are all connected and if one acts up it might influence other units.
