Hi all,
I have two IP Office's 8.1(69) in an SCN and Line Group ID is 17 setup as an IP Office SCN
IPO (A) has a PRI and sets dial 9 to get an outside line and should work when I get the PRI up. So today I have an analog line in BD1-9 and that works.
IPO (B) has only the SCN and is to dial 8 for an outside line. Set calling sets work as well.

I have setup my short code in (B) system to 8N/Dial/N/50:main
ARS is setup as, XXXXXXXXXXN/9N/Dial 3K1/Line group ID 17 as well XN;/9N/Dial 3K1/ Line group ID 17 (Lets just get local to work)

So when I dial 8 from system (B),I go over the H323 trunks to system (A).
Then I hit and analog line in BD1-9, because my PRI is not up yet and I get onto that analog trunk and the number looks good and I get connected but then get a fast busy.
I'm dialing 8XXXXXXXXXX looking at the analog trunk I see all the numbers without the "8"

Can someone help me with this??

Thanks

This shortcode sends only the N part of the number it deletes the 8 at the beginning.

Why not using the Break Out feauture over SCN ( it is a lot easier ):
Break Out

This feature is usable within a Small Community Network. It allows a user on one system in the network to specify that the following dialing be processed by another system on the network as if the user dialed it locally on that other system. This feature is not supported for SIP extensions.

For pre-IP Office 5 systems, this feature requires the IP Offices to have Advanced Small Community Networking licenses.
• Telephone Number: The IP Address or Name of the system, using * characters in place of . characters.
• Default Short Code: cross
• Programmable Button Control: BkOut
• Software Level: 4.0+.

Example
On a system, to break out via a system called RemoteSwitch with the IP Address 192.168.42.3, either of the following short codes could be used.

Example 1
• Code: *80*N#
• Telephone Number: N
• Feature: Break Out

Example 2
• Code: *81
• Telephone Number: RemoteSwitch
• Feature: Break Out

Example 1 allows break out using any remote switch by dialing its IP address, for example *80*192*168*42*3#. Example 2 does this for a specific remote system by dialing just *81.

you have to put the 8 in front of n in the telephone number field if you wan it that way so

8N
Dial
8N
50

I do system Shortcode 8N, Dial N, 51:Add9ARS. In the ARS table 51 I have Code:N, Tel Number:9N, Feature:Dial, Line Group ID: 17 (SCN Line Number) Sends the 9N and lets the other system take care of it in its ARS table 50:Main.

It's the same thing, you basically just need to add the 9

Intigrants suggestion is much simpler , plus if you add to the scn you can then select which local trunks to break out of with just one button and no complicated ars tables.
