Is it possible to link to a specific view-on-demand report from a users desktop? Even if they have to enter in their username and password thats ok... but I'd like to put a shortcut on their Windows desktop straight into a file, so they don't have to click through a whole bunch of steps to get at it?

I'm currently posting them to Crystal Reports Server and the employees log on and browse through folders to find and run the reports on demand... must be run live..

I don't care if it asks them to log in... i just want them to avoid all the extra steps..after all...they are just users :D

My cView Report viewing utility includes the ability to place a shortcut on the desktop and display a rpt file.

The logins are stored inside an encrypted configuration file, so the user doesn't need to enter the db password. They can also respond to parameters.

But it's a windows App, running on the desktop. Not everything has to run inside a browser.
