Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok I can add that, but it is any 1-601-xxx-xxxx that gives this error. I was hoping there was a way to included all the suffixes. It doesn't seem to make a difference though bc the 1-601-498-xxxx is the main number and it denied that as well. The problem seems to be with any number in that area code.

just add an ars entry of 1601, that will handel any 1601XXXXXXX number dialed

rgtrgt: Umm that is the first one listed under the ARS Analysis, but it doesn't seem to work. I am unfamiliar with this type of system and looking for some walk-through. I am the networking guy covering the phones...please keep it simple, I am unfamiliar with most all of the commands.

ah i didnt catch the first line there. well, denial event per the Avaya book describes it being caused by no ARS/ARR entry. so i wonder if there is something else messing it up. is 1601373 the only 1601 number you cant call?

rgtrgt- no all numbers in the 601 area code give this error from that office location. they can call everywhere else just fine, they just cant call any 1-601-xxx-xxxx numbers with out this error.

That route pattern is empty so the switch has no trunk groups to send calls to following that route pattern.
If you can dial other area codes, just see what route pattern they are using and either add their trunk members to route pattern 235 or point the ars entry for 1601 to the other (working) route pattern

Regards

FSI got it, either make route pattern 235 look like one that works, or make the ARS entry for 1601 go to a route pattern with a working trunk group.
