If you can't be good, be good at it!

Check Services and the world wide web service are both running. May be worth a restart of these services too.

ACA - IPOffice implement
ACA - IP Telephony
CCNA - Passed at last

After installing delta server the service doe not always start automatically, go to services and start it up (or try restarting it)

Or reboot the PC to start everything as it should.

I restarted and it loads. However, it won't connect.

Not got any sort of firewall running? Windows firewall tends to stop every Avaya app even when the fw.bat file has been run. Its a pain in the backside.

Have you checked that the service is actually running????

have you tried typing the server name rather than localhost? "
For some reason, localhost never worked on IE6, i sued to have to type the server name. On IE7 though it works!?!

Do you have anything else running on that PC that might be using port 8080?

Take Care

Matt
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

good idea from nemmens, you can try a different browser and see if that works

Is the PC using a PROXY without localhost options selected.

Internet tools. Connection LAN Settings.

Did you try firefox? You also have Firefox portable for U3 USB sticks, it works perfect.

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

I did a netstat command and there is nothing using port 8080.
I tried putting the server's ip in place of localhost.
tried 127.0.0.1

nothing.

Even if the bypass proxy for local was not ticked, IE would not use the proxy settings for a 127.0.0.1 request, its an internal request that loops back to the local machine.
