The important thing, and harder to understand than a simple rule, is the tradeoff involved in creating and utilizing index tags; any index tag, not just a tag on DELETED().

I believe in the above article as I have done similar tests earlier, but was reluctatnt to say it so, since the gurus say the other way and as well SYS(3054,1) showed the other way. Now I can surely say that DELETED() tag does not help to achieve speed.
