Hi!
I want to know if it is possible to defragment two hard disk particions at the same time.
if it is, how can i do it?
is there a software that allows us to do that?
thanks

Try a program called PerfectDisk 7 works a treat and can defrag more than two at a time

you can, but here's the issue: the hard disk has one seek arm. even though it has lightenning speed (measured in mili-seconds), there's a phenomenon called thrashing. this happens when the amount of requests for read/write is so enoumous that the seek arm is just in a state of constant "thrashing". you may want to consider that.

I agree. I don't think it would be wise to defragment two partitions on the same hard drive at the same time. It would likely take longer than doing them separately, and probably cause a little more stress in the process.

If you are talking about two partitions on two separate drives, then that shouldn't be a problem.
