db conversion (.cdb to mdb)

I have office 2003 running on winXPpro.
I use activesync3.8 to sync my smartphone to my PC.

Tinygps is running on my phone which creates a tinygps.cdb file.

When I try to transfer the tinygps.cdb file from my phone to my PC using activesync, I get the error...
"cannot convert file 'tinygps'. The Remote Procedure Call failed."

what caused the error?
what should I do to correct the error?

The Remote Procedure Call failed.

Seems like your phone does not know how to transfer the file. Can you create or start the transfer from the phone?

it does transfer other files from phone to PC. but for this particular tinygps.cdb, file conversion does not work or an error appears 'the remote procedure call failed'

something to do with my msoffice2003/access2003 app? but, it is the updated version.

or maybe i have to activate something in my PC, but what will I activate?
