I have a form in datasheet view. I have 3 columns in a row that are numbers. The first two are 0/1 entries and the third is a foreign key value. When entering the data, when I have 0 for the first and enter a 1 for the second, Access is automatically incrementing the next column to 2, which is very annoying b/c I have it set up as a combobox and I then get a 'text not in list' error.

Does anyone know of a way to turn off this auto incrementing??? I checked in Options and did not see anything. It is automatically doing it in my query and table setup also.

Thanks, Janel

Have you got the data type of the column set to AutoNumber?

If so, that would cause the problem. Change it to a Number

Cheers

no, not AutoNumber, just NUMBER. (Long Integer)
