data switch for CS1000M

We are replacing the old data switch that our 1000M is using.
We know that all out IP phones will go down, but what happens to the cores when they can no longer communicate?
 
Generally speaking, the Nortel kit will still be sending or waiting for any connections.

The best thing to do (I think) is to reconnect the IP links for the core systems first and then connect the other ones starting off with the Contact Centre (If you have one) followed by Call Pilot (If you have one) and finally the Sig Server and Media cards.

It's all a question of getting the kit to syncronise again correctly.
