Hello,

I'm new around here, I've been researching the end of life cycle for the CS1000M Option 81, 61 and 11, the only thing I get is the software release end of life. I'm looking for the actual hardware end of life. Anyone has an idea or can direct me to a good source to find the answer?

Depends at what software level you are on. As with most things there is a compatibility matrix which identifies card types & variants supported.

Thanks for the reply. We are running release 4.5, I've read on-line that support for release 4.5 is still available until 2015, is this correct? If so, does this mean end of life?

from a software point of view Avaya have said that they are no longer supporting 4.5, I believe the lowest version they are still writing patches for & support direct is 5/ 5.5
Again when looking at it from a hardware angle only certain processors & cards are supported going from 4.5 upto the latest 7.5 although it maye more flexible if you are running a TDM only switch.

Hi,

The lowest supported version is 7.0. I'm currently having a problem with a release 6.0 system (I think it's a memory leak. every 110 - 120 days the system crashes and a restart is required) and the answer was... Sorry not supported, upgrade then we will talk...

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

As far as I know, Avaya will only support up to 2 full releases. As for the release 6.0, it should still be supported, but I agree that they are only interested in 7.x now.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

7.0 and 7.5 are (unfortunately) full/major releases....
